I can’t believe it’s been over seven months since i last logged into my blog! Anyone still here? I never intended to go this long without blogging. I want some sort of record for our little family. I have a lot of catching up to do- our 4th family day, a Disney trip, a few holidays, and of course Aiden’s 5th birthday…which he considers a national holiday!
If anyone is still reading, I am going to change the password for the upcoming posts. Please let me know you are here and I’ll send it your way! I have a lot of blog reading to catch up on as well. I uploaded all of my blogs into a new reader so I have no excuse. Hope to catch up with everyone very soon!
December 1, 2012….four years as a family. We celebrated with a trip to the circus and pho.
Any good celebration includes cotton candy, right? Many of our celebrations include a trip to our favorite Vietnamese restaurant. Aiden got a “big boy” bowl of pho. He was so proud (and can suck down most of the bowl)!
Every year Aiden gets a gift from Vietnam.
And here are some pictures of the official Giving & Receiving Ceremony in CaMau, Vietnam on December 1, 2008. I remember every detail of that day (and the day I met him- the day before) like it was yesterday. I don’t think I will ever forget it. And I will never stop feeling so grateful and lucky. I’m not sure what I did to get such an amazing little boy as my son.
Aiden turned 4 1/2 today. When I told him this, he said, “Oh. I wasn’t expecting that…..should I expect some presents?”
Ha! Nice try! We did spend a couple of hours at one of his favorite parks and then went out for pho- Sang even gave Aiden his first big boy bowl. He was so proud!
I can’t even believe my sweet boy is 4 1/2. I’ve said it over and over but I don’t know where the time goes. Tomorrow marks the day 4 years ago that I got the call that I would be leaving for Vietnam in 9 days. I still remember it like it was yesterday…
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I heard, “Mom! I’m wearing two pairs of underwear.” Not this, that’s for sure but I sure did laugh…and run to get the camera!
